She's such a big help at home with the baby boys. She plays with them all morning. I love hearing her talk to them so sweetly and sometimes "telling" them what to do. She changes their wet diapers which is very funny...very cute. Hudson is almost as big as she is but he goes along with her encouragement. She's a very affectionate, sweet girl and loves to hug....and butterfly kisses, too.
After much prayer, we decided to homeschool the older three again (our 7th year total of homeschooling) but Joel really wanted Alaina to go to our public school. It's a really nice, new school and our older three enjoyed going to elementary school there.
She's super excited and enjoying getting her things ready....glue, crayons, backpack...and especially what clothes she is going to wear. Oh my, we will have to plan the attire the night before as this is very important ya know. One day Alaina asked Alexis how she knows her "fashion". She thinks her sister is the greatest. Alaina answered her own question before Alexis could respond...suggesting that it must be the show they watch, "What Not To Wear". Yes, Alexis and Alaina like that show...and they like to make suggestions to me on how to dress.
Alaina is so smart...and very mature. She becomes friends with everybody she meets, especially adults. She tells them all about her family...every sibling and more info than needed. I'm sure she will "share" info with her classmates and teacher.
Friday, August 15, we visited Dr. Steve for Alaina's school check-up. She loves Dr. Steve so this was such a big, exciting day to visit Dr. Steve and be the only child getting all his attention.
She is 42 pounds and 44 inches tall!!

Ms. Patty, one of Dr. Steve's nurses, is so sweet and such a great nurse. She went down the check list asking Alaina if she can skip, draw, etc. She asked her if she could count to 10. She looked at me like she thought Patty was kidding with her. Ms. Alaina can add and subtract...the expression on her face was priceless.
Healthy girl!!
Happy day with Dr. Steve! We love you, Alaina!!
