I just do. Always have. I love snow! Only God could create something so beautiful.
You won't catch me outside during a snow storm but I will be sitting by the window, in awe of God's creation...sipping on hot chocolate.
Zachary, Joel B. and Alaina, on the other hand, love going outside, no matter what.
Yesterday, I helped the boys make business cards and they walked around passing them out to the neighbors. They were up this morning, walking the neighborhood, carrying their snow shovels. I'm so proud of them.
You know, some days you just feel overwhelmed with being a homeschool mom of 6 kids and well, it's just hard sometimes. But when you get an email like this one from a neighbor, life is good.
" You should be proud of your sons, they worked hard, did a good job and shook my husband's hand afterwards and thanked him! Wonderful!" Thank you, Janet!
Alaina went out for a little while and the snow was over her knees in some spots. She said she tried to swing on the swing set but her feet touched the snow. Too funny.
Our busy little family is on the go so often that I welcome staying home, all snowed in with my little people. We continued with our homeschool just like it was a regular day. Love it 'cause we can do that.
Stay tuned for more snow pictures. We should be getting more of the same in a few days.
And guess who is turning "sweet 16" in two days?

Hi Trina,
I am so jealous!! We live in upstate NY and have hardly gotten any snow this year!! My sister lives in Maryland and has gotten over 50 inches!!! All I want is just one more snow so I can take Sierra sleigh riding!!! Your family looks terrific!!

The snow IS beautiful...and you are blessed to have mountain silouettes in the background, too...so pretty! I'm like you, when it snows, I love to sit by the window sipping a hot chocolate and marvel and God's amazing creation. It's those times of being still and just reflecting on His majesty, that I feel so near to Him! It reminds me of how our sins are washed away because of Jesus, and how because of His sacrifice, we too can be made white as snow. It's snowing here right now...we're supposed to get a good foot or so over the next couple of days. I love how every branch is outlined in white...just stunning!!
And you SHOULD be so proud of your boys. What a testimony to the love of Jesus and good upbringing in their workmanship and good manners. Those are words EVERY momma wants to hear! :)
Happy 16th B-day to Alexis, too! If her bday is the 8th, she and Khloe share the same special day. Our Khloe is turning TWO!! Oh how I can't wait for her to be home!
Blessings and Hugs,
~ Tanya
